CSL Crossover Notes: Deerfield Downs Maine South With Dominant Second Half

Warriors use dominant third to roll to CSL bragging rights.

Deerfield and Maine South battled in a de facto CSL Girls Basketball title game Wednesday at Deerfield. It was a game that was going to be played as a CSL Crossover game due to last season’s records (both won their respective divisions a season ago and also played last year’s game as a crossover game). 

Deerfield almost come back last year from double digits down to win, but couldn’t do it against now-current Cornell women’s basketball star Emily Pape and the Hawks.

This season, there would be nothing resembling a comeback as Deerfield emerged victorious 69-54.
