4-24 — Kennedy Glinn, New Trier softball, 3 for 3 with 4 runs in a win over DePaul College Prep.
4-25 — Shayna Da Silva, Evanston soccer, 2 goals in 3-0 win over New Trier.
4-26 — James Soriano, Maine East boys volleyball, 10 kills in a win over Wheeling.
4-27 — Finn Pollard, Evanston boys tennis, won at No. 1 singles vs. Maine South 6-2, 6-0.
4-28 — Asher Malin of GBN baseball threw a 7-inning no-hitter in a win over St. Patrick.
Evanston’s Erik Van Leer wins the CSL Boys gymnastics all-around title with a 53.200. He won every event.
4-29 — Chris Rodriguez, Niles West boys track and field, won 300 hurdles, 2nd in 110 hurdles, on 5th-place 4x100 at Glenbard West.
5-1 — Evan Hessel, Vernon Hills boys volleyball, 17 digs in a win over Niles North.
5-2 — Samone Stevens, Vernon Hills softball, no-hitter with 7K’s in a win over Maine East.
5-3 — Sam Bergeron, Maine South, complete game 1-hitter with 6K’s and also had 3 hits at the plate in an 8-0 win vs. New Trier.
5-4 — Gabriela Manzano, New Trier girls track and field, won 4 events at the CSL South meet, check below for results. Juliet From, Glenbrook North girls track and field, won 3 events at the CSL South meet, check result below.
5-5 — Ryan Schaefer, Glenbrook South boys track and field, won four events at home meet, PR of 6-7 (2.01m) in high jump, long jump winner (6.79m), 300 hurdles (38.72) and on winning 4x100.
5-6 — Tristan Macpherson, David Wolff, New Trier boys volleyball, were named all-tournament a Trevians took 2nd at Northside invite.

RECORD ALERT
Deerfield’s Isabella Carpenter, in her first season of throwing, now holds the program record for girls discus with a heave of 37.78 meters.
Highland Park’s Lukaas Nales and Doug Anderson broke Anderson’s previously-held school record in the 400 meters, running 49.16 and 49.22 seconds, respectively, at the Lake County Meet at Grayslake Central.
Vernon Hills’ boys 4x400 team set a school record, check below in the boys track and field section to see what they accomplished.
The Cougars’ Jake Slavish set a school record in the 300 hurdles with a time of 39.91 to win the event.

BOYS GYMNASTICS
Deerfield was 4th and Highland Park took 8th at the Stevenson Sectional.
The Warriors’ Chance Farris was 10th in the overall with an all-around score of 43.95.
Glenbrook South brought home 3rd at the Downers Grove North sectional.
Maine East was 4th at the Lyons sectional, with Henry Morrison taking 3rd in the all-around with a score of 47.1000. Niles West was 7th and Niles North was 8th.
Evanston was 2nd at the Lake Park sectional, with Mo Frischer earning 3rd in the vault and

GIRLS BADMINTON
Vernon Hills and Glenbrook North can lay claims to sectional titles after the Cougars won their home sectional and North won its home sectional.
VH’s Neha Kulkarni won the singles title while the pair of Cali Bennett and Arushi Panda grabbed the doubles title.
GBN’s Jade Huang was the singles champ of her team’s home floor, while Sydney Stachovic and Vivian Zhao were the doubles champions.
Maine South’s Anna Jeludeva was the singles champ at Geneva.
BOYS LACROSSE
Glenbrook South has asserted itself as the top team in the CSL, at 6-0 in conference and 14-2 overall. A big matchup with Maine South looms on Monday.
GIRLS LACROSSE
New Trier has had quite the schedule as of late (all season really), losing to Loyola Academy and New Albany (OH) in close matches, then defeatng Hinsdale Central, Deerfield and Upper Arlington (OH) in recent competition.
Vernon Hills’ Lizzy Eitel reached 100 points for her career.

BASEBALL
Glenbrook South defeated New Trier 6-5 in the 8th inning with a walk-off Alex Yoon double. New Trier had just beaten the Titans in walk-off fashion 3-2 on a Brendan Stressler game-winning hit.
Niles North picked up its first conference win, a 7-1 victory over Vernon Hills. Matt Trimberger went 2 for 4 with 2 runs and an RBI. Nico Vazquez went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored. Kelsey Howard drove in 2 runs. Vinnie Marvucic tossed a complete game, allowing 3 hits.
The CSL North is shaping up as a 3-team race, with MaxPreps listing the conference records for the top 3 teams as Highland Park (6-5), Deerfield (6-5) and Maine West (5-6). HP and Deerfield play a critical 2 game series this week. Maine West will hope to make up ground with 2 matchups against Vernon Hills this week.
The CSL South is still up for grabs between Evanston (10-1), Maine South (8-2), New Trier (8-3) and Glenbrook North (8-3). GBS and GBN start a big series on Tuesday, while Evanston and Maine South are set to do the same.
SOFTBALL
Maine South and Glenbrook South (6-1 each) and Niles West (5-2) all stand a crane to bring home a CSL South crown, with the Hawks riding a 5-game win streak and are set to face both Glenbrook South and Niles West this week.
Evanston dropped Niles West behind the 8-ball in the race by beating them with a Sophie Berger walk-off double for an 8-7 win. Serafina Goodwill and Isabella Anthony each homered for the Wildkits.
BOYS WATER POLO
New Trier (South) and Deerfield (North) took home CSL titles, each winning in dominant fashion. New Trier finished the regular season 26-4 after defeating Evanston 13-7 in the title game. Deerfield defeated Maine East, Maine West and Highland Park by an aggregate of 48-21 in the tourney.
GIRLS WATER POLO

Maine West (North) and New Trier (South) claimed CSL titles. The Warriors scored at least 18 goals in each of their 4 Ames and did not surrender more than 8 in any contest. The Trevians Rolled past Maine South and Glenbrook South by a combined score of 30-1 before defeating Evanston 8-4 in the title game.
BOYS TENNIS
Vernon Hills nabbed an important 4-3 win over Deerfield.
GIRLS SOCCER
Evanston cliched the CSL South with a 5-0 record. In conference play, the Wildkits defeated:

Maine South 4-0
New Trier 3-0
Niles West 5-0
Deerfield claimed the CSL North title in defeating Highland Park 3-1 behind Emily Fox’s hat trick.

BASS FISHING
Niles West advanced from the Skokie Lagoons Sectional as the 2nd place team, as did Glenbrook South in 3rd.
Representatives for the Wolves were Edward Simon and Allan Stegich. GBS’ Alex House, Tanner Schmidt, Alex Cardis and Flip Galbas head to state for the Titans.
New Trier’s Owen Chung caught the largest bass of the event.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
Deerfield’s Eugene Chung won his 400th match.
Vernon Hills (7-0) remain unbeaten in the CSL North, as does Glebbrook South (6-0) in the South.
GRAD CATCH-UPS
Maine South graduate Libby Strotman, a junior at Hope College on the women’s track and field team, took home an MIAA conference title in the javelin with a mark of 36.07 meters. Per Hope’s athletics website, her top shot put mark this season is 11.61m.
New Trier grad Johnny Hackett was named America East Rookie of the Year for Bryant Men’s Lacrosse. He entered conference tournament play having scored 33 goals with 27 assists.
Ryan O’Hara Illinois baseball, earned the Oskee Award for “Outstanding Senior Male Scholar, in the athletics program.
