2-7 — Grace Koepke of Vernon Hills girls basketball and Maine West’s Jaclyn Reidl of Maine West girls basketball each reached 1,000 career points.
2-8 — Livy Tran, Vernon Hills girls gymnastics, won floor exercise and was 3rd in the all-around at the Stevenson sectional.Â
2-9 — Zuri Ransom, Evanston girls basketball, 19 points, 13 rebounds and 5 steals
2-11 — Al Ghala Al Radi, Niles West girls wrestling. Had 2 pins 4 wins over 2 days to win a 140-pound sectional wrestling title. She is 27-1 this season per trackwrestling.

New Trier claimed an outright CSL South title 50-33 with Spartans star Josh Fridman absent due to a season-ending injury.Â
Niles North and Deerfield tied for the CSL North title with identical 9-1 records.Â

GIRLS GYMNASTICSÂ
Vernon Hills brought home a Stevenson sectional title with a team score of 143.925. New Trier was 5th, Deerfield was 12th and Highland Park was 14th.Â
Annika Chuddy (37.275), and Livy Tran (37.200) went 2-3 in the all-around.Â
Glenbrook North’s Betsy Alcorn (36.775) was 4th in the all-around.Â
New Trier was led by Clara Crossgrove’s 14th-place all-around finish with a score of 35.350.Â
At the Conant sectional, Maine South took 5th as a team, Glenbrook South was 9th, and Evanston, Niles North and Maine East went 11th, 12th and 14th, respectively.
Maine South’s Anastasia Gritsonis was the top-all-around finisher at the sectional, scoring a 35.600. Her best finish came in a second-place tie in the floor exercise with an 8.975. Maine South’s Katie Saviski was 3rd in the balance beam with a score of 9.225.Â
The Titans’ top finisher in an event was Jacki Sadler, who tied for 6th in the vault with a score of 9.300.Â
GIRLS BOWLING
Vernon Hills qualified as a team for state bowling, which is coming up this week. The Cougars took 3rd at the New trier sectional, finishing 50 pins behind 1st-place Hersey. Ashlee Shoemaker’s score of 1,227 led the team.Â

New Trier won 9 golds and Glenbrook North won 3. CSLV POTW Charlie Bufton won the 200 medley in 1:52.45 and the 100 back in 52.22. Aiden Musick and Max Lestina also took two golds apiece for the Trevians.Â

Deerfield’s depth won out, as it won the CSL North meet despite winning two golds to Highland Park’s 7. Matthew Borovik won the 100 breast for Deerfield in 59.45 and David Turos won the 200 free in 1:44.84. Kevin Obochi and Danny Castle won two events apiecefor the Giants.Â
