New Trier dominates medal stand at CSL South meet.

GIRLS BOWLING
Evanston qualified as a team for the state tournament after taking 4th at the Fremd Sectional with 5,023 pins. Hersey won with 5,305. Jordin Gibson led the Wildkits with 1,078 pins.Â

Vernon Hills’ team score of 145.5000 was good enough to put distance between the Cougars and second-place New Trier (141.9750) at the Glenbrook South sectional.
Annika Chuddy, Livy Tran and Clara Crossgrove went 1-2-3 in the all-around.Â

Glenbrook North clinched the CSL South title with an 8-2 record in the division. Niles North was the North champion at 10-0.Â

Maine South’s Asia Kobylarczyk poured in 21 points as the Hawks coasted to a 61-34 CSL championship crossover victory over Maine West.Â
Deerfield’s Kate Trella posted a triple-double of 16 points, 12 blocks and 10 rebounds in a loss to Niles North.Â

Maine East graduate Ali Sabet scored 41 points on 14 of 21 shooting, including 8 of 12 from 3-point land in a Loras College men’s basketball victory over Buena Vista.Â
Southwestern Michigan College men’s basketball continues to be a haven for for former CSL hoopers. In a Feb. 10 SMC win over Kellog CC, Glenbrook South graduate RJ Davis Jr. scored 25 points, Evanston graduate Prince Adams had 13 points, 10 rebounds and fellow Wildkit baller Rashawn Bost totaled 10 points.Â
