Evanston scored a big boys volleyball win over GBS, 25-21, 17-25, 25-22.
Maine South cliched a CSL title with a 4-0 win over Glenbrook South. The Hawks finished 9-1 in the CSL South.
GBN’s John Catalano was selected as 3A/4A Athletic Director of the Year by the IADA.
GIRLS TRACK AND FIELD STATE RESULTS
3A Top 9 finishers (cut-off at 9 for most events with finals)
New Trier’s Gabriela Manzano finished 6th in the 400 (57.27, a PR)
Josie Cahill of New Trier took 7th in the 3,200 10:56.06.
The Trevians’ 4x400 unit of Emilia Smith, Carly McConnell, Anna Rivera and Manzano earned 5th in a season-best team off 3:55.68.
Evanston’s Stella Davis was 8th in 5:00.85 after running a PR 4:59.80 in the prelims.
Maine West’s Amelie Mach picked up 4th in the 300 hurdles in a PR of 44.02 and was 6th in high jump at `1.60m (5’3”).
Carissa Uy came home to Niles West after 2 strong state performances, PRing in the long jump with a 5.49m (18’0.25”) for 9th place in that and triple jump (11.41m or 37’5.25”).

Deerfield graduate Lucas Danielewicz reached the DIII NCAA Baseball Tournament with Cal Lutheran baseball. He hit .314 with 17 doubles, 4 HR and 39 RBIs.
Evanston graduate Madison Hardamon was part of Illinois women track and field’s 4x400 Big Ten championship unit.
