Recap from Vernon Hills’ Jesse Wlter.
The Cougars came to wrestle on the opening night of the CSL conference. They won by fall in 7 out of the 10 matches they wrestled. Big pins from Andrew Diaz(132), Jack McGowean(144), Filip Janeski(150), Dylan Moncayo(165), Timur Arzumanov(175), Shane Blumberg(190), and Teo Koncarevic(215). The dual was tight heading into the upper weights. A huge fall from the only freshmen in the line-up, Timur Arzumanov(175), really got the momentum the Cougars needed to seal the win at the upper weights. Next up for the Cougars in the CSL is Maine West next Friday night.
Niles North beat Maine East 47-24.
