The CSLV Player Of The Week is Highland Park diver Noam Kulbak.
The CSLV Fan Vote Player of The Week is Deerfield’s Aiden Cohen, who wins the award via a poll after having previously won the POTW award.
OF NOTE
#CSLStar athletes for the past week were:
2-13 — Jami De Guzman, Glenbrook North girls basketball, Guzman showed off a hot shooting stroke and scored 18 points in a GBN win over Lane Tech.
2-14 — Ryan Cohen, GBN boys basketball, scored 24 in a win over Maine West.
2-17 — Annika Chudy, Vernon Hills girls gymnast, 2nd in the all-around, VH 2nd in the girls state finals after the first day (finished in those spots as well)
2-18 — Noam Kulbak, Highland Park boys diver, finished with a top diving score of 591.90 to take 1st at the Lake Forest sectional.

GIRLS GYMNASTICS
Annika Chudy was second in the all-around, leading the Cougars to runner-up as a team. Livy Tran was 4th in the all-around.
Chudy brought home 3rd in the vault, 5th in the balance beam.
Glenbrook North’s Betsy Alcorn was 2nd in the uneven parallel bars and balance beam
BOYS SWIM & DIVE
At the Niles North sectional, New Trier brought home the sectional title.
Maine South took 2nd, Evanston was 3rd, Glenbrook South 4th, Niles West 6th, Niles North 7th, Maine West 9th, Maine East 10th.
The Trevians took the 200 freestyle relay (Aiden Musick, Brady Baxter, Augustus Noreuil, Max Lestina), the 400 freestyle relay (Graham Wilson, Max Lestina, George Angelov, Aiden Musick), the 200 freestyle (Musick), the 200 freestyle (Charlie Bufton), the 50 freestyle (Lestina), Diving (Wyatt Wellehan), the 100 butterfly (Musick) and the 100 freestyle (Mazurek)
Maine South won the 200 medley relay (Ljubomir Popovic, Bart Kubis, Dominic Mazurek , Danilo Marsenic), the 100 freestyle (Mazurek) and the 100 backstroke (Kubis).
Evanston’s Lucas Macy won the 500 freestyle.
GBS’ Ryan Eidelman will head to state in four Athletes With Disabilities races, the 200 freestyle, 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle, and 100 breaststroke.
At the Lake Forest sectional, Glenbrook North took 2nd, Highland Park was 3rd, Deerfield took 4th and Vernon Hills was 6th.
For HP, Kevin Obochi won the 50 freestyle, 100 butterfly and was on the winning 200 freestyle relay with Ilya Rivkin, David Daniels and Danny Castle. Noam Kulback also won diving for HP. Kulbak was named CSL Varsity Player Of The Week.
GBN won the 400 freestyle relay, with Jake Walker, Josh Hyun, Gabe Frank and Makoto Majoros bringing it home for the Spartans.

Glenbrook South - Defeated New trier 51-39 to win regional title and earn spot in sectional semis vs. Maine South at New Trier.
Deerfield - Walloped Grayslake North 87-34 to take a spot in sectional semis vs. Lake Forest at Deerfield.
Vernon Hills - After a 57-48 regional final win over Saint Viator, the Cougars are set to play Carmel Catholic Tuesday at Deerfield.

Maine West graduate Emmett Olson was named Nebraska’s opening-day starting pitcher.
New Trier graduate and four-year Northwestern baseball player Anthony Calarco is now at Ole Miss.
Niles North grad Dravon Clyborn, in his senior season at Oklahoma City University, is averaging 11.2 points, 4,8 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game. His season-high for points is 22 and he’s had 10 assists in three separate games. He wasn’t the only former NN hooper doing big things.
