9-30 — Ben Crane, New Trier boys XC, won the Peoria Invite at Detweiler.

BOYS GOLF
New Trier won the Class 3A Prairie Bluff Sectional in LaGrange with a team score of 280, with GBS taking 3rd and GBN 5th. Logan Keeter shot a sectional-winning 69. Johnny Creamean and Noah Zyung each shot a 70. (Below pic via New Trier Athletics)
GBN’s Jordan Cohen and Alex Lee both advanced to state from the sectional.Â
At the Prospect sectional, Vernon Hills shot a team score of 308, 8 strokes back of winning Prospect, to make state as a squad. Kartik Vasuveda’s day of 71 strokes topped the scores for the Cougars.Â
HP’s Kalin Patel qualified for state by shooting a 74 at the Prospect sectional.

Glenbrook North won a sectional championship with a team score of 287, led by individual medalist and sectional winner Martha Kuwahara’s 68.
Grace Leber shot a 76 to advance to state for the Trevians.Â
Vernon Hills’ Anna Lee carded a 79 to advance to state.Â
GIRLS TENNISÂ
Niles North and Highland Park came together to show support for Griffin Make and raise Pediatric Cancer awareness.
Maine South’s Amelia Stanek placed 2nd at 1st singles at the Naperville North Invitational, Ella Raseta and Emma Militaru 2nd place at No. 1 doubles. And Megi Stoyanova was 1st place at 2nd singles
BOYS SOCCER
GBS’ Chris Vazquez had 2 assists in a 4-1 win over Notre Dame. Nathan Halpern scored a goal and had an assist in another 4-1 win, this one over Prospect.Â
GIRLS VOLLEYBALLÂ
Niles West’s Molly Eischen (14 kills) and Amina Dervisevic (7 kills, 10 blocks) had a big night in a recent win over Maine East.Â
Maya Raval recently broke Vernon Hills’ assist record when she recorded her 1,108th assist.Â
BOYS CROSS COUNTRY
Niles West ran its annual Pat Savage Invite.
The top CSL finishers were Niles North’s Evan Parker (3rd, 15:30.25) and Ari Elmayan in 4th. Deerfield claimed the team title, with Jamie Chandler leading the Warriors in 11th.
GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
Vernon Hills’ Anna Lester won the Pat Savage Invite with a time of 18:04.36, leading her team to 5th. Ella Ollinger was 9th for the Cougars. The top finisher for hosts Niles West was Nora Graham in 23rd. New Trier freshman Margaret Canman earned 21st.Â
