4-23 — Troy Kaneshiro and Max Manoshin of Glenbrook North boys tennis. Won at No. 1 doubles vs. Maine South 6-2, 6-0.
4-24 — Ben Miller, Vernon Hills boys volleyball, 17 kills, 4 digs in a win over Niles North.
4-25 — Russell Czerwinski, Highland Park boys track and field. At Rolling Meadows meet, broke school record in high jump (2.00m, over 6’6”), was on winning 4x400, 3rd in triple jump, 6th in 300 hurdles.

Charlotte Okulaja of Glenbrook North girls track and field broke the program’s long jump record, going 5.21m (17’1”).
New Trier boys track and field’s Ben Crane won the 1,600 (4:21.79) and 3,200 (9:06.61) at Prospect’s Al Wanner Invite. Milesplit video of Crane.
Vernon Hills girls track and field’s Anna Lester won the 1,600 (5:14.12) and was 3rd in the 3,200 (11:47.39) at the Lake County Invite.
Gabriela Manzano of New Trier girls track and field PR’d in triple jump (11.51m) and long jump (5.91m) in Saturday’s Trevian Invite.
Makayla Clark of Evanston girls lacrosse netted a team-high 4 goals in an 18-6 win over Glenbrook North on Wednesday.
Landon Bujdei of Maine East boys volleyball smashed 15 kills in a Blue Demons win over Niles West on Tuesday.
Glenbrook South boys volleyball’s Max Chuluunerdene had 14 kills, 3 aces and 3 digs as the Titans defeated Barrington in three sets Tuesday. Glenbrook South’s James Ganzorig totaled 30 assists and 8 digs in a win over Deerfield
Deerfield girls soccer’s Emily Fox scored 2 goals in a 3-1 rivalry game win over Highland Park.Violet Cairo of Vernon Hills girls lacrosse recorded 7 saves in a 9-4 Cougars win over Highland Park.
Ellie Bornhoeft of New Trier girls lacrosse recorded 4 goals and 2 assists in a 12-4 win against Hinsdale Central.
Vernon Hills softball’s Morgan Hart went 4 for 5 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs in a win over Lane Tech.
Delila Liston of Evanston softball hit 2 homers during a 3 for 4, 3 RBI day at the plate in a loss to GBN.
Evanston baseball’s Braden Grimm struck out 13 on the hill, and reached base 4 times at the dish, with 2 doubles and 2 RBIs in a win over Glenbrook North.
Deerfield baseball’s Ike Schlesinger tossed 6-innings of 1-run ball in earning the victory as the Warriors defeated Maine South 1-0.
Jacob Titsworth of Niles North baseball pitched 6 and 2/3 innings and struck out 10 in a Vikings defeat of Highland Park 1-0.
Glenbrook South baseball’s Blake Hoffer struck out 11, allowed just 2 hits in a Titans victory vs. Maine East.
TEAMS OF THE WEEK
Evanston won the CSL Conference boys gymmnastics invite with Wildkits snagging the top 3 individual all-around spots. More info belowin “DID YOU SEE?”
The Glenbrook North girls badminton team earned a CSL championship.
The Highland Park boys track and field team won the Rolling Meadows Classic, clinching the varsity team title in the final race when they won the 4x400. The Giants’ Russell Czerwinski broke the school high jump record when he leaped 6’6”.75 (2.00m). (Full discretion, yours truly is on that coaching staff.)
New Trier girls soccer won Naperville’s Ed Watson Naperville Invitational, shutting out Waubonsie Valley (4-0), Hinsdale Central (2-0) and Benet Academy (1-0).
Niles West baseball’s pitching has been on-point lately. The Wolves have not given up more than 4 runs in. game since April 9. They are winners of 5 straight game sagainst CSL schools.
GRAD CATCHUPS
Deerfield graduate Caroline Schwartz has been named the first head coach of the newly-formed Benedictine University women’s flag football team.
Maine East graduate Mason Ishii tossed 5 innings of 4-hit, 1 run ball in a recent Oakton Community College baseball win. Deerfield graduate Matthew Dworksy is hitting .355 with 21 RBIs and 13 extra base hits for the Owls this season while playing catcher.

The dynamic Maine South softball duo of Hannah and Jessica Hoffman are both batting over .480 this season. Jessica owns a 1.47 ERA, while Hannah’s is 3.10.
