CSLV: State Champions Crowned In Tennis, Track; All-State Honorees Aplenty; Baseball Success
A fully-packed newsletter for the past week includes lots of accolades. Also,CSL North baseball and softball all-conference teams.
This might just be the most info-packed newsletter I’ve ever done? Perhaps? I’m not so keen on going back to check that, so let’s just say it is.
OF NOTE
I’ve been slacking bit as of late on getting superlatives out.Â
For the week of May 15-21, the fan vote player of the week was Abrielle Artley of Evanston girls track and field after she won the 300 hurdles and took 2nd in the 100 hurdles. She was also theon the 7th place wildkits 4x400.
The Player of the Week was Dawson Wright of Evanston girls track and field, who won the state shot put title for 3A.
The Team of The Week was New Trier boys water polo for bringing home a second consecutive state title.Â
It’s clear-cut who needs to be named Player(s) of the Week for this last week, May 22-28. But I’m still putting a fan vote up for Twitter.
Those are state champions Ryan Schaefer (GBS) and Miles Granjean (Evanston) from track and field, as well as Blake Gold and Evan Glebov of Highland Park boys tennis for winning a doubles championship.
