CSLV Team of The Week

Who else? The CSLV Team of the Week for the week of Oct. 15-21 is the Class 2A state champion New Trier girls tennis team. 

Keri Rothenberg and Ariane Lesterhuis won state doubles gold, Marianne Liu was state runner-up in singles and Coco Zabel/Julia Ludwig took 6th in doubles.

Player of the Week

CSLV Player of the Week goes to Madison Liu for having the Trevians’ best individual singles finish at state in girls tennis since 1992. Liu did not drop a set before her championship match. (Both stats per Joe Coughlin and The Record North Shore).

Football Player of the Week

Glenbrook South’s Nate Canning helped GBS to secure one of the last remaining playoff spots by breaking the program’s regular season rushing record when he reached 1,737 yards in the Titans’ win over Glenbrook North. He ran for 312 yards and 4 TDs vs. the Spartans. The school’s overall rushing record, including the postseason, is 1,746. Canning is the Footall Player of The Week
