BOYS TENNIS
The New Trier doubles pair of Jovan Morales and Chris Ackerman won a 2A tennis championship, defeating Jack McLane and Mason Mazzone of Lyons 4-6, 6-1, 6-2 to lead them to the state plaque and pushing the Trevians to a 3rd-place team finish.
Finn Pollard of Evanston brought back 5th-place hardware in singles, winning 7-5, 6-4 in his medal match.
Glenbrook South’s Alex Denizov and Bryce Abban earned 5th in doubles, defeating defending doubles champs Evan Glebov and Blake Gold 6-3, 6-4 to claim 5th.
BOYS STATE TRACK AND FIELD

New Trier’s Ben Crane finished 2nd in the 3A 3,200 (9:00.40) and 8th in the 1,600 (4:16.80).
Tucker Anglemyer was 4th in the 400 (48.92).
Highland Park’s Russell Czerwinski grabbed a 5th-place finish in the high jump by clearing 1.98m (6’6”).
Maine South’s Sean Schermerhorn re-set is school 100 record in the prelims at state with a time of 10.71.
Glenbrook North’s John Ihrke once more set a PR and school record in the 800, running a 1:53.19 to take 5th.
Vernon Hills’ Charles Blackmer ran a PR in the 800 of 1:53.58 to earn 8th.
Niles North’s Evan Parker was 10th in the 3,200 in 9:12.70, narrowly missing all-state honors.
Oliver Hassard of Evanston was 10th in high jump 1.95m (6’4.75”)
BASEBALL
New Trier clipped Niles West (3-2) and Evanston downed Loyola Academy (5-1) to set up an all-CSL sectional semis matchup at Kerry Wood Field at Lane Tech on Wednesday.

Deerfield won its first two postseason games, including a 2-1 regional final win over Antioch to set up a Wednesday sectional semis matchup with Crystal Lake South at Grayslake Central.
Glenbrook North beat Glenbrook South in walk-off fashion 5-4 to advance to a sectional semis contest against Elk Grove Wednesday at Kerry Wood Field.
SOFTBALL
5 CSL softball programs advanced to regional finals but fell on that stage.
Vernon Hills lost to Grayslake Central 8-3 in a regional final.
Glenbrook North fell at the hands of Warren, 15-5 in a 4A regional final.
Niles West was defeated by OPRF in a 4A regional final.
Leyden upset Maine South 8-7 in a 4A regional final.
Maine West was beaten 5-3 by Whitney Young in another 4A regional final.
GIRLS SOCCER
New Trier is still standing after a 2–0 sectional final victory over Lane Tech and will play in a super-sectional vs. Lyons Tuesday at Dominican University.
The Trevians also blanked Loyola Academy 2-o in the sectional semis. They’ve outscored opponents 20-0 over 4 postseason contests.
Vernon Hills made a 2A sectional final run, losing to Crystal Lake Central 1-0 in the final after a 2-1 victory over St. Viator in the sectional semis.
Glenbrook South and Glenbrook North made it to sectional semis before losing to Libertyville and Fremd, respectively.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Evanston sets its sights on Loyola Academy in a Tuesday super-sectional vs. Loyola Academy at Conant. The Wildkits beat OPRF 15-13 to advance to the state quarters.
In an early (for them) matchup of Loyola Academy and New Trier in the sectional finals, the Ramblers beat New Trier 10-9 in a 4OT affair to end their season.

BOYS LACROSSE
The CSL saw its chances of state gold come to an end when New Trier dropped its sectional final match with Loyola Academy 8-7.
Maine South, Glenbrook North and Evanston both fell in their respective sectional semis games.
BOYS VOLLEYBALL
New Trier upended Glenbrook South in 3 sets 22-25, 25-21, 25-22, to advance to a Tuesday sectional final matchup at Vernon Hills with Loyola Academy.
GBS had won a sectional championship by defeating Glenbrook North 25-16, 25-23.
