Evanston’s 2021-2022 season was ended in heartbreaking fashion by the Maine South Hawks. The Wildkits played with that in mind and made plays late to take a 44-40 victory Wednesday at a sultry Beardsley Gym.

Zuri Ransom scored 10 first-quarter points, hitting a step back jumper, a 3-pointer and scoring in transition as she showed off the versatility of her game on her way to a game-high 20.
