Senior Spotlight: Evanston Wrestling's Ariana Flores
Flores, A Wildkits co-captain who has wrestled since 8th grade, has ambitions of being a teacher.
CSLV: How has the season gone for you and where have you seen some success?
AF: “I think it’s pretty tough because I bumped up to a new weight class so it’s different, so there’s a lot of pretty good people, but I definitely think I’ve improved my confidence.”
CSLV: What weights have you bounced between this year?
AF: “I wrestled for boys at 113, and last year I wrestled (girls) at 110, and this year I bumped up to 115, so I think I’ll stay at that weight class.”
CSLV: How did you do at girls state (in Springfield) last year?
AF: “I didn’t place but I wrestled to the best of my abilities. I’m hoping this year I can actually place and do a better job.”
